Notification Preferences
You turn store events on and off in groups, choose in-app and email notifications separately for each event, and set a threshold/frequency value for…
Where to find: Store Settings → Notification Preferences tab Who it's for: Store owners who want to define for which events (new order, low stock, support ticket, etc.) and through which channel (in-app / email) they receive notifications. In short: You turn store events on and off in groups, choose in-app and email notifications separately for each event, and set a threshold/frequency value for some events.
What does it do?
The Notification Preferences tab determines how you'll be informed about what's happening in your store. At the top of the page you'll find the "Notification Preferences" heading and this description: "Manage detailed notification preferences for your store. Choose which events and channels you want to be notified through."
This way you hear about important events instantly, and by turning off notifications that don't concern you, you avoid unnecessary alerts.
How an event is set up
Notifications are listed in groups (cards). Under each event you'll find these settings:
- A main toggle — turns the event on or off.
- When you turn on the event, two channel toggles appear right below it:
- In-App — a notification is shown inside the panel (on the bell icon).
- Email — the notification is sent to your email address.
- Some events also require a number:
- Threshold — the limit at which the event triggers (for example, when stock falls below this number).
- Every — how often the event is notified (for example, once every 100 views).
Tip: For an event, you can turn on both In-App and Email, select only one, or turn off the event entirely. Too many emails can fill up your inbox; keep email on only for the truly important events.
Warning: The channel toggles (In-App / Email) only appear while the event's main toggle is on. If you can't see the toggles, turn on the event first.

Frequently asked questions
I can't see the channel toggles (In-App / Email). These toggles only appear while the relevant event's main toggle is on. First turn on the event, and the channel options appear below it.
What do "Threshold" and "Every" mean? Threshold is the limit at which the notification will be triggered (for example, when stock falls below 5). Every means an event is notified at certain intervals (for example, once every 100 views).
I can't see the "Support Notifications" group. This group appears only when the support tickets feature is on. Turn on Support Tickets under Store Settings → Customer Settings (see Customer Settings).
Where do I see in-app notifications? As they happen, from the bell icon in the panel's top bar. For the full history, click your name at the bottom of the left menu and open the Notifications page (see Notifications). Email notifications are sent to your account's email address.
I can't turn on the events labeled "(Coming soon)". These events are not active yet; their toggles are off and cannot be selected. Their labels are removed once they become available.
