Custom Domain

You connect a domain name you own to your store, add and verify the DNS records. Your default address {store}.treyza.shop keeps working.

Where to find: Store Settings → Custom Domain tab Who it's for: Those who want to publish their store with their own domain name (for example, mystore.com). In short: You connect a domain name you own to your store, add and verify the DNS records. Your default address {store}.treyza.shop keeps working.

What does it do?

The Custom Domain tab lets you publish your store with your own domain name (for example, mystore.com) instead of a default address like {store}.treyza.shop. Your default address is also shown in the section's description: "Connect a custom domain for your store. Default address: {store}.treyza.shop".

The process works in three stages: connecting → adding DNS records → verifying.

Tip: The actions in this tab are applied instantly; there is no separate Save button.

1. Connecting the domain

If there is no domain connected yet, you'll see an info note: "Enter your domain name without www. Visitors coming with www will be automatically redirected to the main domain."

  1. Type your domain name in the box without www (example placeholder: mystore.com).
  2. Press the Connect Domain button. If successful, the "Domain connection started. Configure the DNS records." notification appears and the status changes to Awaiting Verification.

If you enter an invalid value, one of the following warnings may appear:

SituationWarning
You left it empty"Domain field cannot be left empty"
Wrong format"Invalid domain format (e.g.: mystore.com)"
You entered a subdomain"Subdomain (sub.domain.com) is not supported"

If you type an address starting with www., the warning "www will be removed automatically. The domain will be saved as "{domain}"." appears; the system removes the www for you.

2. Adding DNS records

After the domain is connected, the "DNS Configuration" section opens: "Add the following 2 records in your domain provider's DNS management panel." For each record, the Type, Name, and Value columns are shown (you can copy the value with the copy button next to it):

RecordTypeNameValue
A Record — Main domainA@The IP address shown in the panel
CNAME Record — www redirectCNAMEwwwYour domain

You need to create these records in the DNS management panel of the company (domain provider) where you got your domain name.

Two important notes are shown in the panel:

  • If you use Cloudflare: The proxy (orange cloud) must be off — choose the gray cloud (DNS Only).
  • DNS propagation usually takes 5-30 minutes, and in some cases can take up to 24 hours.

Tip: Instead of typing the values by hand, use the copy button on each row and paste them exactly into your DNS panel. Even a small typo causes verification to fail.

3. Verification

After adding the DNS records:

  1. Press the Verify button.
  2. If the records have propagated, the "Domain verified successfully!" notification appears and the status changes to Active.

Tip: Don't worry if it isn't verified immediately. It takes time for DNS changes to propagate across the internet (usually 5-30 minutes). Wait a little and try Verify again.

Cancelling the connection or removing the domain

To cancel while awaiting verification: Press the Cancel button. The confirmation dialog that opens:

  • Title: Cancel domain connection
  • Description: "The connection for the domain {domain} will be cancelled. This action cannot be undone."
  • Buttons: Dismiss / Cancel

To remove an active domain: Press the Remove Domain button. The confirmation dialog that opens:

  • Title: Remove domain
  • Description: "The domain {domain} will be removed from your store. Your store will remain accessible via the default address ({default address})."
  • Buttons: Dismiss / Remove

If removal is successful, the "Domain removed" notification appears.

Warning: Cancelling the domain connection cannot be undone. When you remove the domain, your store is not accessible from your custom address; however, it keeps working via the default {store}.treyza.shop address.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need to enter my domain without www? The system uses the main domain (mystore.com) and automatically redirects visitors coming with www.mystore.com to the main address. That's why you enter the address without www.

I pressed Verify but it wasn't verified. Your DNS records may not have propagated yet. Compare the Type/Name/Value information of the records exactly with what's shown in the panel, turn off the proxy if you use Cloudflare, and wait a little and press Verify again.

When I connect a custom domain, does my default address stop working? No. The default {store}.treyza.shop address keeps working.
