Where to find: Builder → Preview / Flow map above the centre area · New wizard → Create with AI Who it's for: Anyone who wants to edit long, branching wizards visually or start quickly from a draft In short: The flow map shows every step and transition of the wizard at a glance and lets you change connections by dragging. The AI draft reads your goal and your catalogue and proposes a ready-made wizard draft.
Flow map
What is it for?
In a branching wizard the question "which step did this option go to?" is hard to answer from a list. The flow map shows each step as a card and each transition as a line. The map and the step list on the left show the same wizard: a change in one appears instantly in the other and in the preview.
How to open it
- In the builder, click Flow map above the centre area.
- Click Preview to return to the preview. (The address bar shows
?view=map; if you share that address, the map opens directly.)
What you see on the map
| Item | Looks like |
|---|---|
| Step card | Type icon, order, title, selection type · number of options. The start step is marked. A coloured badge if there are errors/warnings. |
| Result step | Card with a thick border |
| Redirect step | Card with a dashed border |
| Unreachable step | Faded card ("Not reachable from the start") |
| Result rules | A separate card for the rules tried when the flow ends |
| Option transition | Solid line + option name |
| Rule transition | Dashed line + "rule N" |
| Default / next step | Thin, faded line |
| Loop | Red line (blocks publishing) |
| Last test path | The path you ran with Test is highlighted |
Editing on the map
| What you want to do | How |
|---|---|
| Edit a step | Click the card → the right panel opens that step. |
| Change an option's target | Drag from the output point on the option's row and drop it anywhere on the target step's card. |
| Move an existing transition to another step | Grab the line by its end and drop it on another step. |
| Clear a transition | Click the line and press Delete, or drop its end on empty space (only option and default transitions can be cleared; rules are edited in the Logic tab). |
| Duplicate/delete a step | Right-click the card → Edit · Duplicate · Delete |
| Undo | Undo (Ctrl+Z) — every drag is undone in one step. |
Controls: Zoom in, Zoom out, Fit map, Back to automatic layout and the Mini map at the bottom right. You can move cards by hand; those positions are kept only for that session and are not saved to the wizard.
Tip: The map is for mouse and touch. All of the same actions can be done with the keyboard from the step list on the left and the right panel.
Warning: You cannot connect a step to itself, to a step that doesn't exist, or a result rule to a question step; the map rejects those drops.
FAQ: Does a 100-step wizard fit on the map? Yes. Long flows are drawn in rows; Fit map opens at a readable zoom and you move around by scrolling and with the mini map.
AI draft
What is it for?
Instead of writing questions from scratch, you describe your goal in a sentence ("Recommend a perfume by the customer's scent preferences; also ask about budget and time of use"). The AI prepares a draft with questions, options and result steps using the categories, tags, brands and attributes in your catalogue. Nothing is saved without your approval.
Step by step
- Product Wizards → New wizard → the first card, Create with AI.
- In the dialog:
Field Description Wizard goal Whom you want to recommend what to, and with which questions (10 to 1000 characters). Number of questions 3–8 (result steps are not counted). Scope categories (optional) If you choose some, recommendations only come from these categories and their subcategories. Tone Friendly or Corporate Placement Question length is adjusted to it (short for a floating button, more descriptive for a page block). - Click Generate draft. It usually takes up to a minute; the elapsed time is counted on screen. If you Cancel, the result is not shown.
- On the Draft ready screen, read the summary: number of questions and result steps, the catalogue used, the IDs that were not found in your catalogue and removed, and diagnostics.
- Check the Wizard name and click Create with this draft. The wizard is created as a Draft and the builder opens.
Safety and limits
- The draft only uses categories, tags, brands and attributes that really exist in your catalogue. References the AI made up or that don't fit your catalogue (products, coupons and external addresses included) are not taken into the draft and are counted on the summary screen.
- No customer or order data is sent in the catalogue summary; only category names, tags, brands, attributes and price ranges are used.
- The draft goes through diagnostics before it is saved; if it has errors, the summary says so and you can fix them in the builder.
- AI usage is deducted from your store's monthly AI quota. If the quota is used up you see: "Your monthly AI token quota has been reached. It will reset at the start of the next billing period." No fake draft is produced in that case.
- If the AI cannot produce a valid draft, you see: "The AI could not produce a valid wizard draft. Describe your goal a little more clearly and try again."
Tip: The draft is a starting point. After creating it, try a few paths with Test, adjust the options' filters and scores to your products, and then publish.
