Spin Wheel Presets
You pick one of 4 ready-made wheels — segments, odds, rewards and display rules already filled in — and create a campaign with one click.
Where to find: Campaigns → Spin the Wheel → the Create from preset button at the top right of the list screen Who it's for: Anyone who does not want to build a wheel from scratch and wants to go live quickly In short: You pick one of 4 ready-made wheels — segments, odds, rewards and display rules already filled in — and create a campaign with one click.
What is it for?
Setting up a wheel campaign means defining rewards segment by segment, distributing the odds and deciding on which page and how the wheel opens. For a first-timer this takes a while.
A preset puts a wheel in front of you with all those decisions already made. You only review it and go live.
Picking a preset does not publish the campaign. The panel says so: "The preset is created as inactive (draft); review it in the editor and activate when ready."
How to use it
- Go to the Campaigns → Spin the Wheel list.
- Press Create from preset at the top right. (If you have no wheels yet, the same button on the empty screen works too.)
- Pick one from the Spin wheel presets window. Each card shows the number of segments ("N segments") and how many of them carry a reward ("N winning"); there is a small preview of the segment colours.
- Press Create from this preset.
- The campaign is created and the edit screen opens directly. Adjust the rewards/discount rates to suit you.
- When you are done reviewing, set Status to Active and save.
The four presets
| Preset | What does it do? |
|---|---|
| Welcome discount | Opens on the home page after 5 seconds; offers 10%-25% discounts plus a free shipping segment. |
| Free shipping wheel | Shows on product and cart pages; mostly free shipping rewards with small percentage discounts as backup. |
| Cart recovery | Triggered by exit intent on the cart page; short-lived (1-2 day) strong discounts to save abandoned carts. |
| Season end | Opens on every page after 15 seconds; 8 segments with a wide reward range to accelerate end-of-season sales. |
Which one to pick? If you want to add new visitors to your mailing list, Welcome discount; if you want to recover abandoned baskets, Cart recovery is the right choice.
What should you check after using a preset?
A preset gives you a ready skeleton, but review these three against your own store:
| Check | Why? |
|---|---|
| Discount rates | The preset's rates (e.g. 25%) may not fit your margins. |
| Coupon validity period | Short-lived coupons create urgency, but too short and you lose the customer. |
| Display rule | On which page and after how many seconds the wheel opens; pick a value that does not annoy visitors. |
Data protection notice: If the wheel collects email addresses, having the relevant privacy/consent document in your store is a legal requirement. If it is missing, the panel warns you and shows a Create Document shortcut.
Frequently asked questions
I picked a preset — is the wheel live now? No. The campaign is created as inactive (draft); it does not appear in the storefront until you set it to Active.
Can I change the preset's segments? Yes, completely. The preset is only a starting point; you can add or remove segments and change rewards and odds.
Can I create more than one campaign from the same preset? Yes. Each time a new draft campaign is created.
The preset list looks empty. If the panel says "There are no spin wheel presets right now.", the presets could not be loaded; refresh the page.
Where do I see the wheel's statistics? On the statistics screen of the campaign detail (see Spin the Wheel Statistics).
