Where to find: The small -marked buttons that appear next to certain setting fields in the Theme Editor Who it's for: Anyone who struggles to write text, choose an icon or find an image; anyone who wants to speed up their work In short: Artificial intelligence buttons that help you while designing. They suggest icons, write text, generate list items, find images. They all work with a single click.
What does it do?
The artificial intelligence (AI) helpers scattered throughout the Theme Editor do the most tedious jobs for you: when you don't know what to write in an empty box, they suggest text; they find which icon is suitable, fill a list automatically, or fetch images from the internet that match your description.
These buttons usually appear with a (sparkle) icon, next to the relevant field. When you hover over them, a small tooltip appears telling you what they do.
Tip: AI helpers are like an "assistant" — you don't have to accept what they produce as is. If you don't like the generated result, you can change it, regenerate it or edit it by hand.
1) Suggest with AI (icon suggestion)
Where: Next to the fields where you select an icon.
What it does: It looks at the text you wrote and suggests a suitable icon. Tooltip description: Suggest a suitable icon based on the text with AI.
How to use:
- First enter the text related to the icon (for example, the name of a menu item or a badge heading).
- Click the Suggest with AI button.
- The AI finds the suitable icon and selects it automatically. When successful, the Icon suggested: {icon} notification appears.
Warnings you may encounter:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enter the text first | An icon can't be suggested for an empty field; write the text first. |
| AI icon suggestion could not be fetched | The AI couldn't find a suitable icon; change the text a bit and try again. |
| An error occurred while getting the suggestion | A temporary problem; try again. |
Tip: In menu items, you can have icons suggested for all items in bulk with the "Suggest Icons for All with AI" option (see Properties Panel (Right Panel) → top menu settings).
2) Generate with AI (generating list items)
Where: Next to the item-adding field in multi-item components (for example, a feature list, reviews).
What it does: It generates items automatically by looking at the component's heading and description. Tooltip description: Generate items based on the heading and description with AI.
How to use:
- First fill in the component's heading and/or description (the AI generation bases itself on these). This reminder is shown in the window: Generation is based on the component's heading and description. For a more accurate result, fill in the heading and description first.
- Click the Generate with AI button; the AI Generation Settings window opens.
- With How many should be generated? select how many items you want.
- Click Generate. While generation runs, Generating... is shown, then (if an image is needed) Preparing images....
- When finished, the items are added and the {count} items added notification appears.
Warnings you may encounter:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enter a heading or description first | A heading/description is needed first for the AI to understand what to generate. |
| Items could not be generated, please try again | A temporary problem; try again. |
Warning: Automatic images may also be added to the generated items. If your gallery quota (storage limit) is full, images may not be added to some items.
3) Write with AI (writing text)
Where: Next to text and rich text fields.
What it does: It generates formatted (heading, paragraph, list) text according to your request and writes it in place of the existing content. Window title: Write Text with AI.
How to use:
- Click the Write with AI button; a small window opens.
- If you want, select a Ready-made template: About Us, Shipping Information, Returns & Exchanges, Privacy Policy or Campaign Announcement. (If you don't want to choose a template, it stays No Template.) When you select a template, a draft prompt ready to be filled in comes automatically.
- Write what you want in the What should it be about? box (e.g. "A short text describing our store's shipping and return policy").
- Optionally, you can adjust the Persona (writing style), Tone and Language options.
- Click Create. The generated text is written into the field; when successful, the Content generated notification appears.
Editing existing text: If there is already text in the field, Edit existing content options appear at the top of the window: Improve (makes it more fluent/professional), Shorten (summarizes), Expand (adds detail). You'll also see a note: The generated content replaces the existing text.
Warnings you may encounter:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Specify what to write first | The prompt box is empty; first write what should be written. |
| Text could not be generated, please try again | A temporary problem; try again. |
Warning: Write with AI puts the text it generates in place of the existing text (it doesn't append to it). If you have text you want to keep, copy it somewhere before generating.
Tip: Templates like "Privacy Policy" are for informational purposes, not legal advice. It's recommended to review your legal texts before publishing them (consulting an expert if necessary).
4) Find Image with AI (images from Pexels)
Where: Next to gallery (image-adding) fields.
What it does: Based on your description (or the search you typed), the artificial intelligence generates English keywords, finds images from the free stock photo bank Pexels and downloads them to your gallery. Window title: Find Image with AI.
How to use:
- Click the Find Image with AI button.
- You can type what you're looking for in the Search (optional) box. If you leave it empty, the system searches automatically from the component's description (the placeholder reminds you of this: If left empty, automatic from the description).
- With How many images? select how many you want.
- Click Find Image. The images are found and downloaded to your gallery; when successful, the {count} images added notification appears.
Warnings you may encounter:
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enter a description or type a search first | It's not clear what to search for; enter a description or type a search. |
| Gallery full | The number of images in this component has reached the upper limit. |
| Your gallery quota is full | Your store's image storage limit is full (new images can't be downloaded). |
| No suitable image found | No image matching the search was found; try different words. |
Sometimes a portion of the number you requested is added; in this case you'll see a message explaining how many were added and how many (e.g. due to quota) could not be added.
Tip: For a more accurate result, type concrete, visual words in the search box (e.g. "wooden tabletop coffee"). General words (e.g. "beautiful") don't give good results.
Frequently asked questions
Q: The AI buttons look gray/inactive, I can't click them. A: Most AI buttons first require some information to work. For example, icon suggestion needs text, text generation needs a prompt, item generation needs a heading/description. When you fill in the relevant field, the button becomes active.
Q: I didn't like the text/image the AI generated. A: No problem. In Write with AI, you can write a different prompt and click Create again, or you can edit the text by hand. For images, you can try different search words. The AI offers a starting point; you have the final say.
Q: Is it safe to use the images found with AI? A: The images come from the free stock photo bank Pexels. Even so, it's good to review the images you add for suitability to your brand.
Q: Is there a usage limit for the AI tools? A: Image downloads are subject to your store's gallery quota (storage limit); when the quota is full, no new images are downloaded. Reasonable use is also expected for the other AI operations. You can track your quota from the Gallery section.
