Statuses and Errors

The 6 statuses a listing can go through, the full list of error messages you may run into, and a step-by-step fix for each of them.

Where to find: Product form → Sales Channels card → the status badge in the channel row and the red error text under it Who it's for: Anyone who, after sending a product to the marketplace, wonders "what happened, why isn't it live?" In short: The 6 statuses a listing can go through, the full list of error messages you may run into, and a step-by-step fix for each of them.

What is it for?

Sending a product to a marketplace is not the end of the job: the marketplace reviews the product and either accepts or rejects it. You follow this process from the small coloured badge on the Sales Channels card.

If something goes wrong, the system writes down exactly what is missing. This document decodes those messages.

The 6 statuses

Every listing (that is, the record of "this product, on this marketplace") is in one of the statuses below. You see the status in the badge in the channel row. On a variant product every variant has its own status; you see them by opening the Variant settings list.

BadgeWhat does it mean? What should you do?
PendingWaiting to be sent. The record exists but the product has not gone to the marketplace yet.If the mapping is complete, press Send. If there is no button, do the mapping.
ProcessingThe marketplace is reviewing the product.Wait. You can ask for the result early with Refresh Status.
ActiveLive on the marketplace.Nothing to do. Stock and price are updated automatically.
PassiveRemoved from sale.It has usually been switched off on the marketplace side. Check the marketplace's own panel.
RejectedNot published because of missing/invalid information.Read the red text under the row, fix what is missing, send again.
ErrorA problem occurred while sending.Same thing: read the red text and fix it.

The normal flow

Pending → (Send) → ProcessingActive

If there is a problem it becomes Rejected after the Processing step, or falls into Error if it gets stuck while being sent.

The difference between Rejected and Error: Error means the product got stuck in Treyza's own checks before it could be sent (no image, no price, no mapping). Rejected means the product reached the marketplace but was not accepted there. The way out is the same in both cases: read the red text and fix it.

When you save a mapping, records in Rejected and Error status automatically go back to Pending and the old error message is cleared. So you never end up in a "I fixed it but it still shows the old error" situation.

Where do I see the error message?

  • On a simple product: under the channel row, in red.
  • On a variant product: you see a {count} errors badge in the channel row. To find which variant it belongs to, click Variant settings ({count}); the error is written in red under the row of the relevant variant.

A listing can show more than one error at the same time. You have to solve them all; fixing one and sending will reveal the next.

The error catalogue

First a summary table, then the details of each one:

1. Variant validation error

"Variant validation error: This category requires variant info (like Colour/Size). Make the product a variant product, or fill these required attributes with valid values on the mapping screen. For a simple (non-variant) product you can also pick a category that does not require variants."

What does it mean? The marketplace category you picked expects option information such as colour/size for every product; but the product you sent does not carry it.

How is it fixed? One of three ways:

  1. Turn the product into a variant product and define its colour/size options.
  2. Open the Map / Edit drawer and fill those required attributes with valid values.
  3. If the product really is single-type, pick a category that does not require variants.

This error mostly shows up in clothing/footwear categories, where size information is mandatory.

2. Price validation error

"Price validation error: Sale/list price is invalid. The list price cannot be lower than the sale price and prices must be greater than 0."

What does it mean? The price sent does not follow the marketplace's rules. Usually either a price is 0, or the struck-through list price is below the actual sale price.

How is it fixed?

  1. Open the product's Pricing card (on a variant product, the relevant row of the combination table).
  2. Make sure the sale price is greater than 0.
  3. If you use a list (struck-through) price, make it higher than the sale price.
  4. Save the product and press Send again.

If you entered a product-specific Price on the Sales Channels card, that is the price being sent. Make sure you did not type 0 by accident.

3. Stock validation error

"Stock validation error: The submitted stock value is invalid."

What does it mean? The stock quantity sent to the marketplace was not accepted.

How is it fixed?

  1. Check the product's stock from the Inventory card (from the combination table on a variant product).
  2. Make sure you did not type an excessively large number into the Stock buffer field.
  3. Correct the warehouse stock and send again.

4. Image validation error

"Image validation error: The image is unreachable or invalid. Trendyol only accepts public https images."

What does it mean? The marketplace could not download the product's image.

How is it fixed?

  1. Add at least one image to the product (or variant).
  2. Make sure the image was not uploaded broken/incomplete; if in doubt, delete it and upload it again.
  3. Save the product and send again.

Videos do not count as images; only a preview frame can be sent from a video. Make sure there is a proper photo in the first position of the product.

5. Category validation error

"Category validation error: The selected category is invalid or incompatible with the product type."

What does it mean? The marketplace category you picked in the mapping cannot be used: either it is no longer valid, or this product type (simple/variant) cannot be sent to it.

How is it fixed?

  1. Open Map / Edit.
  2. Pick a deeper and more suitable category in the Marketplace Category field.
  3. If the red "this category has no variant attributes" warning appears, you must pick a different category.
  4. Press Save (the product is sent automatically).

6. Barcode validation error

"Barcode validation error: The barcode is invalid or already in use."

What does it mean? The barcode is either not in a valid format, or it already belongs to another product on the marketplace (yours or another seller's).

How is it fixed?

  1. Check the barcode on the Inventory card (or in the variant row).
  2. Make sure there are no spaces, special characters or a wrong number of digits.
  3. If you make up barcodes yourself, give a unique value to every product and every variant.
  4. Save the product and send again.

Giving the same barcode to two different variants is the most common mistake. Every colour-size combination must have its own barcode.

7. Brand validation error

"Brand validation error: The selected brand is invalid. Pick a brand from the Trendyol brand list."

What does it mean? The brand that was sent could not be found in the marketplace's brand list.

How is it fixed?

  1. Open Map / Edit.
  2. Type the brand name into the Brand box and pick it from the list (text you type yourself is not accepted).
  3. If the brand is not in the list, apply for the brand in the marketplace's own seller panel; you cannot send until it is approved.

8. Missing required attribute

"Missing required attribute: Some required category attributes are not filled. Fill the «*» marked fields on the mapping screen."

What does it mean? One or more fields that are required in the category you picked are empty.

How is it fixed?

  1. Open Map / Edit.
  2. Fill in all fields with a red * next to their name in the Attributes section.
  3. On long lists the Suggest with AI button speeds things up — but review the suggestions.
  4. Press Save.

9. No mapping

"No mapping: This product does not belong to a mapped store category. Map its category from the «Category Mapping» screen or add a listing-specific mapping."

What does it mean? The product has neither its own mapping nor one inherited from its category. In other words, the system does not know which marketplace category to send this product to.

The directions inside this message are out of date. There is no separate "Category Mapping" screen in the panel any more. The correct path is this:

How is it fixed?

  1. Scroll to the Sales Channels card on the product form.
  2. Click the Map / Edit button in the relevant channel row.
  3. Pick the Marketplace Category and Brand, fill in the required attributes.
  4. Press Save — the product is sent again automatically.

The card's own indicator for the same problem is the Mapping missing badge. Wherever you see that badge, the fix is the same.

Treyza's pre-send checks

The errors above come from the marketplace. Besides those, a product can get stuck in Treyza's own checks before it ever reaches the marketplace. These messages are shorter and are written in Turkish:

MessageWhat does it mean? How is it fixed?
"Ürün bulunamadı" (Product not found)The listing record exists, but the product/variant it points to has been deleted.Recreate the product or ignore this listing.
"Ürün fiyatı eksik" (Product price missing)No price has been entered for the product.Enter the sale price on the Pricing card.
"Varyant fiyatı eksik" (Variant price missing)That variant's price is empty.Enter the price in the relevant row of the combination table.
"Görsel yok (varyanta veya ürüne en az 1 görsel ekleyin)" (No image)Neither the product nor the variant has an image.Upload at least one image.
"Görsel public bir https adresi değil…" (The image is not a public https address)The image is not reachable from outside, or there is only a video.Delete the image and upload it again; add a preview image to the video.
"Varyant özelliği eşleşmedi: …" (Variant attribute did not match)Your Colour/Size values do not correspond to the values the chosen category expects. The rest of the message lists the variant attributes that category accepts.Pick the correct subcategory; keep your variant names standard (e.g. "Kırmızı", "XL").
"Eksik veri: kategori/marka eslemesi" (Missing data: category/brand mapping)The category or brand in the mapping is incomplete.Pick both in Map / Edit and save.

Common problems

The product simply won't get sent

Check in order:

  1. Is the Publish switch on?
  2. Does the product have a barcode, and has the product been saved?
  3. Is the Mapping missing badge still there? If so, do the mapping.
  4. Is the Send button visible? If not, the product is either already Active/Processing or there is nothing to send.
  5. Is there red text under the row? If yes, look it up in the catalogue above.

The status stays "Processing" for days

  • Press Refresh Status to ask for the result immediately.
  • This check already runs every 10 minutes in the background; a few hours can be normal, days are not.
  • If it takes too long, check in the marketplace's own seller panel whether the product appears there.

The product was "Rejected"

  1. Read the red error text — it says which piece of information is missing.
  2. Fix what is missing (price, image, barcode, attribute…).
  3. If the fix is about the mapping, Map / EditSave: the status automatically goes back to Pending and the product is re-sent.
  4. If the fix is on the product (price/image/stock), save the product and press Send.

Stock is not being updated on the marketplace

Possible causeCheck
The sync time hasn't come yetStock/price push runs every 15 minutes. Wait a bit.
The Publish switch is offStock is never sent for switched-off listings.
The Stock buffer is highE.g. with stock 10 and buffer 8, the marketplace shows 2.
The stock is in another warehouseThe total stock across all warehouses is sent; check your warehouse stock record.
The listing is not ActiveA stock update is meaningless for a product that is not live; fix the status first.

The wrong price goes to the marketplace

The price is determined in this order:

  1. If you entered a product-specific Price, that is sent (no commission markup added).
  2. If it is empty: your product price + the channel's Commission markup (%).
ComplaintCause
The price is higher than it should beThe channel's Commission markup (%) value is high.
I changed the commission markup but the price didn't changeA product-specific Price was entered; it always takes precedence.
The price is the same as on my own siteThe commission markup is 0.
I changed it on the marketplace and it revertedAt the next sync the Treyza price is written again. Manage the price from Treyza.

Frequently asked

I fixed the error, do I have to send again? If you saved the mapping, no — it is sent automatically. If you fixed something on the product (price/image/stock), yes, press Send.

How do I put a "Passive" product back on sale? Passive is usually something done on the marketplace side; you have to put it back on sale from the seller panel there.

Who clears the error text? It is cleared automatically after a successful send or when you save the mapping.

The same product has both "Active" and "Rejected" variants, is that normal? Yes. Every variant is a separate product on the marketplace; one can be approved while another is rejected. Check them one by one in the Variant settings list.

Can I delete a listing completely? There is no delete on the product form card; turning the Publish switch off stops the sync. To remove the product from the marketplace, use the marketplace's own panel.
