Connecting Garanti BBVA Virtual POS
In the Garanti BBVA virtual POS panel you register Treyza's server IP address and set the provisioning user's password and the 3D Secure key. Then you…
Where to find it: Left menu → Integrations → Payment category → Garanti BBVA Sanal POS Who it's for: Stores that have a virtual POS agreement with Garanti BBVA and want to take card payments directly through their own bank. In short: In the Garanti BBVA virtual POS panel you register Treyza's server IP address and set the provisioning user's password and the 3D Secure key. Then you enter the Merchant Number, Terminal ID, provisioning password and 3D Secure key in Treyza and enable the integration. Payments are always taken with 3D Secure.
How does it work?
The customer enters their card details on the checkout page and presses Complete Order. The card details go to the bank's 3D Secure page, where the customer enters the SMS code from their bank. When the bank approves the payment, it reports the result to Treyza with a signature; the order moves to Confirmed and the customer sees the thank-you page.
- The result reported by the bank is verified with your 3D Secure key. A notification whose signature does not match does not change the order.
- If the payment is not approved, the order becomes Payment Failed, the items go back into stock and the customer gets their cart back.
- If the customer abandons the 3D Secure page, the order is settled by asking Garanti BBVA once the stock reservation expires.
1) What to do in the Garanti BBVA virtual POS panel
You make these settings in the Virtual POS management screen that Garanti BBVA gave you.
IP registration
Add Treyza's server IP address in the IP registration section of the panel:
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Treyza server IP address | 46.224.168.87 |
Tip: A sale with the customer's card goes to the bank through the customer's browser, so sales work even without this IP registration. Refunds and payment status queries, however, go from Treyza's server to the bank, and the bank rejects them if the IP is not registered. Always register the IP.
User settings
The virtual POS uses two users:
| User | What it's for | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| PROVAUT (provisioning user) | Sales and payment status queries | Set a password for this user |
| PROVRFN (refund user) | Refunds made from the Treyza panel | Set a password for this user too (optional but recommended) |
Warning: Never share these passwords by e-mail or message. Enter them yourself, only in the relevant fields in Treyza.
3D Secure settings
In the 3D Secure settings, set a 3D Secure key (store key) and turn 3D Secure on. This key is used to verify that the result the bank sends to Treyza really comes from the bank.
2) Enter the details in Treyza
- In Treyza, open the Integrations page from the left menu.
- In the Payment category, click the Garanti BBVA Sanal POS card.
- Fill in the fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Mağaza (İşyeri) Numarası (Merchant Number) | The merchant number Garanti BBVA gave you (digits only) |
| Terminal ID | Your virtual POS terminal number (usually 8 digits) |
| Provizyon Kullanıcısı (Provisioning User) | PROVAUT by default; if your bank gave you a different user name, enter that |
| Provizyon Kullanıcısı Şifresi (Provisioning Password) | The password you set for PROVAUT |
| 3D Secure Anahtarı (3D Secure Key) | The key you set in the 3D Secure settings |
| İade Kullanıcısı (Refund User) | PROVRFN by default |
| İade Kullanıcısı Şifresi (Refund Password) | The password you set for PROVRFN. If left empty, the provisioning password is tried |
| Test Modu (Test Mode) | Turn on to connect to the Garanti BBVA test environment (see below) |
- In the same window, turn Enable Integration on.
- Press Save.
Warning: Only one card payment provider can be on at a time in the Payment category. When you enable Garanti BBVA, an active iyzico, PayTR or Stripe is switched off automatically. Bank Transfer / EFT is outside this rule.
Tip: Passwords and the 3D Secure key are stored encrypted; after you save they appear masked in the fields and are never sent to your storefront.
3) Test mode
With Test Mode on, payments go to Garanti BBVA's test environment; no real money is charged. In the test environment use the test merchant number, terminal, password, 3D key and test cards published by the bank. You can get these from Garanti BBVA's developer site or from your bank.
Warning: When you go live, turn Test Mode off and enter your real merchant details. If test mode stays on, the customer appears to have paid but no money reaches your account.
4) Installments and refunds
- Installments: For now, Garanti BBVA payments are single payment only. No installment option is shown on the checkout page.
- Refunds: When you refund an order from the Treyza panel, the refund request is sent to Garanti BBVA with the PROVRFN user. Partial refunds are supported. If the bank rejects the refund, the reason is shown on screen.
5) Check that it works
- On your storefront, add a product to the cart and go to the Payment step.
- Check that the card form opens under the Credit Card option.
- In test mode, pay with a test card; the 3D Secure window opens, enter the bank's test code.
- Check that the thank-you page opens and the order appears as Confirmed on the Orders screen.
- Check that the transaction appears in the Garanti BBVA virtual POS panel.
FAQ
I get "Payment could not be started" at checkout. Check the merchant number, terminal and provisioning password. Make sure test mode is not on with real details, or live mode with test details.
After the 3D Secure window the payment looks failed, but the bank says it approved it. The most common cause is a wrong 3D Secure key: the bank approves, but Treyza cannot verify the result and does not change the order. Compare the key with the value in the virtual POS panel and save it again. The order is still settled by asking the bank once the stock reservation expires.
A refund says "Kullanıcı şifresi hatalı" (wrong user password). Enter the password you set for PROVRFN in the Refund Password field.
A refund or status query gives an IP-related error. Make sure you added Treyza's server IP address in the IP registration section of the virtual POS panel.
Can I sell in installments? Not for now. Garanti BBVA payments are taken as a single payment.
