Live Visitors
Lists in real time the visitors who are active on your site right now; shows which page they are on, their devices, locations and how long they have…
Where to find: Left menu → Other → Live Visitors Who it's for: Those who want to see in real time who is browsing their store at that moment and which pages they are looking at. In short: Lists in real time the visitors who are active on your site right now; shows which page they are on, their devices, locations and how long they have been on the site.
What does it do?
Live Visitors shows the people browsing your store at that moment, live (in real time). The list updates by itself as visitors enter and leave the site; you do not need to refresh the page.
This screen answers the question "how many people are in my store right now, and what are they looking at?". For example, after making a campaign announcement, you can watch the activity coming to the site here in real time.
Top info bar
At the very top of the page there is a title and two indicators:
- The Live Visitors title and next to it the current total number of active visitors (inside a badge).
- Connection status badge:
- Connected (green) — the live data stream is working, the list is up to date.
- Disconnected (red) — the live stream is temporarily cut off; the data may not be updating.
Tip: If the badge shows Disconnected, check your internet connection and refresh the page. When the connection is re-established, the list automatically comes alive.
Search and filtering
Below the top bar there are two tools:
- Search box — "Search page or user...". Filters the list based on the text you type; it matches by the page the visitor is on, the page title, or (if any) the username.
- Device filter — The default is All Devices. From the dropdown menu you can narrow it down to show only a specific device type: Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.
Table columns
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Page | The title of the page the visitor is currently looking at; right below it the page's full address |
| Device | The visitor's device type; with an icon at the start (desktop / mobile / tablet) |
| Location | The visitor's city and country information (if unknown, "—") |
| User | If the visitor is a logged-in member, their name (clicking it opens the profile in a new tab); if not, "Anonymous" |
| Duration | How long the visitor has been on the site (in seconds / minutes / hours; updates live) |
Tip: If a name in the User column is blue and clickable, it means that visitor logged in to your store as a member. By clicking their name you can open the member profile in a separate tab and see their past orders. Those that say "Anonymous" are visitors who have not logged in yet.
Empty and connecting states
- While the live stream is still being established and there are no visitors: the "Connecting..." message appears.
- The connection is established but there are no active visitors at that moment: the text "No active visitors right now" appears in the table. This is normal; when someone enters your site they appear in the list instantly.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the list sometimes change / people disappear? Because the list is live. When a visitor leaves your site they drop off the list, and when a new one enters they are added. This is a sign that the screen is working correctly.
Does the "Duration" increase by itself? Yes. The time a visitor spends on the site is updated live; while you look at the screen, the seconds/minutes advance.
Can I see who the visitors are (name, phone)? You can see names and go to profiles only for logged-in members. Visitors who have not logged in appear as "Anonymous", with only device and approximate location information.
