What is it for?
This screen has two sections:
| Section | What is it for? |
|---|---|
| Back Up Everything | Collects all your gallery files into a single ZIP file and lets you download it. |
| Transfer history | Shows a record of the files uploaded, downloaded and copied in the gallery. |
A backup is the easiest way to keep a copy of all your images on your own computer.
Back Up Everything
How to take a backup (step by step)
- Click the Start new backup button.
- Read the confirmation window that opens:
"All gallery files will be turned into a ZIP in the background. When it's ready, a download link will be sent by email. The link is valid for 7 days."
- Click the Start backup button.
- You'll see the message "Backup started. We'll send an email when it's ready."
The job runs in the background — you can close the page and get on with other things.
What happens when the backup is ready?
An email with the subject "Your gallery backup is ready" arrives at your account's email address. It contains the number of files, the size and a Download backup button.
A Download button also appears next to the backup in the list on this screen.
The download link is valid for 7 days. After that the link stops working; you'll need to take a new backup.

Limits and rules
| Rule | Value |
|---|---|
| Backups that can run at the same time | 3 jobs |
| Maximum backup size | 2 GB (or your remaining storage quota — whichever is smaller) |
| Download link lifetime | 7 days |
The backup ZIP file also takes up space in your storage quota. If your quota is full, the backup can't be started and you'll get this warning: "Your storage quota is full. Free up space or upgrade your plan to start a backup."

I can see other people's backups in the list. That's right — this list shows the backups of all administrators in the store.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a backup take? It depends on the number and size of the files. You don't need to wait; an email arrives when it's ready.
Can I cancel a backup? No, a backup that has started can't be cancelled.
The link has expired, what should I do? Start a new backup.
Can I restore the backup? There is no automatic restore. You can unzip the ZIP and upload the files to the gallery again (ZIP upload is supported).
Can I delete my files after taking a backup? Yes, once you've downloaded the backup. But don't delete images used in your products — you'll end up with broken images in your store.
